Montana LLC operating agreements provide company owners (members) with their agreed-upon protocols and company policies, thus keeping the company organized. Naturally, since it is difficult to prove a verbal agreement, it is always best to have such a contract in writing.

Is it Required in Montana?

No. Montana LLCs have no legal obligations from the state to adopt or conduct business under an operating agreement, but a written contract is an especially recommended internal document. (Montana Code 35-8-109)
