Month-to-Month Laws
Termination Notice – The landlord or tenant must give one month’s notice (§ 37-6-5).
Increasing Rent – West Virginia has no statutory rent caps or direct rent-increase notice laws; however, because raising rent modifies the tenancy terms, landlords must effectively provide one month’s written notice (one full rental period) under the periodic tenancy rule (§ 37-6-5).
